Kunming ShoutOuts

It is Saturday in Kunming. We got a good night’s sleep and many slept in til 8 or so. A real treat for us. Most are up and ready to go by 7 every morning. We had a relaxing night last night with some shopping some strolling in Green Lake Park and many just sitting and talking with our teammates and new Chinese friends.

Today we will have a day of sightseeing. We will go to a minority village where there are about 25 different mninority areas with people in ethnic dress, displays of their handiwork and lots of opportunity to see Chinese history and culture. ...read more »

The Kunming camp is staying busy and being creative in teaching English to orphanage children as well as the summer camp.

Keep the Kunming camp in your thoughts as they lack sufficient classroom space for doing a summer camp in Kunming.

Kunming Countdown

Well the countdown to Kunming begins. 3 days and counting. Packing, shopping, unpacking,and more packing. The lessons are planned, materials collected, afternoon and evening activities ready. We can’t wait to meet our students and new Chinese friends.

LanXi Becomes Kunming

We welcome you to the Kunming Camp Blog. Join us from the city in China which is known as the “City of Eternal Spring.” For some of us who are older, we are hoping that is metaphoric on many levels. Look up Kunming on Google Earth and read about this beautiful location
