Applications Now Being Accepted

Bridging The World is now accepting applications for the 2009 Summer English Second Language Camps in China.

We need 200+ Americans to go with us to serve in different cities in China teaching English and sharing your lives with the Chinese students.

Americans Needed for 2009 ESL Camps

We are now accepting applications for the 2009 ESL Camps in China. We are planning on hosting seven camps across the country and need 200 Americans to staff these camps.

New pictures have been posted in the individual camp image galleries. Click on the "Galleries" button on the top left of the page to see images from the 2008 Shanghai, Xian, Guiyang, or Xining ESL camps.


2009 Summer Camp application

The new 2009 sumer camp application has been posted on the site.

If you have gone to China with BTW in the past you need to fill out the full application so we can update your records on file. You do not need to turn in references again but everything else needs to be completed on the application.

Summer Camp 2008 donations

2008 Summer Team,

You should have already sent your support letters to family and friends. If not you need to do so immediately.

The next payment due is $1600 on March 15. BTW needs this amount from everyone in order to make the airline payment by the end of March.

Shanghai students visit Virginia

For eight days this past week we have had a group of six students and their leader visiting Lynchburg, VA for a cultural exchange and touring time.It was an exciting time and a learning experience for both the Chinese and the American host families.

During this time we toured Liberty University and Amazement Square on Tuesday. Thursday we had an historic tour of Lynchburg, Appomattox, and the D-Day memorial in Bedford, VA. On Friday and Saturday we toured Washington D.C.

Summer 2008 Update

The summer camp dates for 2008 are as follows:

July 10 - 28, 2008.

If you are interested in going on the ESL summer trip to China you need to have your completed application and $600 in no later than February 15th 2008.

After that date prices will be going up due to airline price increase because of the Olympics in Beijing next year.

Applications are posted and can be downloaded from the site.
