Entering the second and last week here at camp, I didn’t know what to expect. The team could shut down and just look forward to going home. The Chinese might stop yearning to learn about English and other things… The ratio of Americans to Chinese could make for a ho-hum week of familiarity and lack of “edge”. Hello again from China!
We’re really getting into the swing of things (I’m excited to use an idiom as we aren’t able to use them to communicate here) here in Jinan. The Americans and Chinese students know the schedule and are deepening their relationships. As one American said this morning, it’s a real blessing to have fewer students so that the relationships can deep and real. We talk about the students by name and everyone on the team knows which student we speak of. The quality of interaction and attention is unmatched. ...read more »

We have so many praises to report! I’ll share some that I hear from our team.
The team has gotten completely adjusted to the time zone. They’ve adjusted in a very neat way too. Our team has been going to bed around 9pm and waking some time between 4 and 5am without any adult ever having to mutter a word. It’s truly remarkable. ...read more »
